About Me

I focus on offering small and medium sized businesses highly personalized, engaging services that land. Through workshops on communication, conflict resolution or democratic management, mediation, mindfulness and facilitation, I help teams recognize their options to shift organizational culture. I have worked with non-profits, small businesses and cooperatives and a broad range of industries including meditation retreat centers, energy efficiency companies and biotech firms.

Roman Ventures, Adrian Roberto Roman, Consultant, Conflict Resolution, Communication, Cooperative Education, Facilitation and Mindfulness

Hello.

I am an educator, mediator, facilitator, community builder, mindfulness instructor and cooperative organizer. My approach is led by my curiosity and deep knowing that in an easeful state where our needs are met, we perform at our best and our desire to engage grows.

Mindfulness

I began leading mindfulness programs internationally in 2018 including courses, workshops, and retreats. I was fully authorized to teach Full Presence Mindfulness (FPM) in 2019 by Jack Petranker, a long time student of Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku and developer of FPM. I have been studying Tibetan Buddhism, Insight Meditation, Tibetan Yoga and contemporary modalities such as ‘Time Space Knowledge’ (TSK) and Full Presence Mindfulness since 2014.

Mediation

I received my mediation certificate through SEEDS in Berkeley, CA, January 2021. Since then, I have been formally mediating and facilitating strategic meetings for organizations, in court and for individuals. I have developed conflict resolution processes and advised on individual and systemic pain points. I was certified in Re-Entry mediation through Community Mediation Maryland in 2023.

Cooperatives

I worked as a cooperative organizer since 2021. I have led and developed workshops for clients and partners, including the City of Boston and Dorchester Art Project. I also supported teams through the cooperative development process preparing them for launch including the development of the bylaws and business plan. In addition, I developed the internal capacity of a self directed non profit that offers Cooperative Development services, the Boston Center for Community Ownership, by hiring and training new cooperative organizers and activating the culture through skillful facilitation and the analysis of the management structure.

I’m from Miami, FL, of Cuban and Chilean descent; my culture and family history informs my consulting approach.

Warmly,

Adrian Roberto Roman (he/him)
