Communication: Develop a Connected Culture

Develop interpersonal capacity by learning and practicing an embodied listening style. The communication style we will practice is developed as a blend between mediation techniques, contemplative practices and cooperative organization principles. This will develop capacity for team building, staying present in conversations and identifying key elements being expressed. This can develop engagement in the organization and higher satisfaction with team members as well as their satisfaction with the organization as a whole.

What is conflict? How can we work with it?

Learn about the different conflict styles, emotional regulation tools to respond to challenging situations rather than react and what to do in preparation and follow up for a conversation that holds conflict.

Cooperative Principles and Business Model 

Learn about cooperative principles and why they are a beneficial business model, the different types of cooperatives, business model basics, democratic management basics, and the path to launch as a cooperative.

Democratic Management

In this workshop you will learn about the different management structures and their impact, different decision making models, the voting process, conflict resolution processes and embodied listening tools to engage the group and develop a collaborative culture.

Facilitation 101

In this workshop you will learn how to facilitate an inclusive and effective meeting. There are many intricate and unseen elements when working with a group to make a decision or an action plan. How can we guide the group to reach the objective while ensuring that all present can be included in a way where they feel heard. Proper facilitation will support the team in feeling heard and included, which may result in more engagement in the organization and higher satisfaction overall.

Meditation

Here we will cover meditation practices that can be practiced individually, in daily life and in dialogue. Meditation can improve resilience, adaptability and stress management. Most of all, meditation can cultivate an understanding of how mind works that can support an openness, flexibility and awareness through our full spectrum of experiences.
